Introduction

Mumbai Coastal Road Connector Project Nears Completion

The Mumbai Coastal Road project, a major infrastructure initiative aimed at easing traffic congestion in the city, is nearing completion of a crucial phase. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced plans to partially open one arm of the arch bridge connecting the Coastal Road to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link (BWSL) by mid-September, 2024.

  • Partial Opening: The BMC plans to initially open the southbound carriageway of the arch bridge, allowing vehicles to travel from Nariman Point to Bandra directly.
