In response to growing commuter demands, the Maha Metro has announced plans to rename three Pune Metro stations within the next 10-15 days. The proposed changes aim to address confusion and better reflect the stations' actual locations.


Proposed Name Changes

  • Bhosari Station: Renamed to Nashik Phata, aligning with its actual location.
  • Budhwar Peth Station: Renamed to Kasba Peth to avoid confusion with the city's red-light district.
  • Mangalwar Peth Station: Renamed to RTO Station, reflecting its proximity to the Regional Transport Office.

Addressing Commuter Concerns

The decision to rename the stations comes in response to significant confusion among commuters, particularly regarding the Bhosari station.
