2.2Km BKC Coastal Road To Open Soon

The much-anticipated Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) coastal road is expected to be open to the public by the end of November. This 2.2-kilometre, signal-free bypass along the Mithi River aims to alleviate traffic congestion within the premier business district.


Construction Progress and Timeline

The road is being constructed for Rs four crore and connects the MTNL junction to the R2 MMRDA ground. Ground strengthening and compacting works have been completed, and concretisation is set to begin in the coming days. The dry season following the monsoon is ideal for the curing process of the cement concrete, ensuring a strong and durable road surface.
