33% Decline in Pune Property Registrations in September

Pune's real estate market witnessed a temporary slowdown in property registrations during September 2024. According to Knight Frank India, registrations dropped by 33 per cent compared to the same month last year, reaching 11,056 units. This decline is primarily attributed to the inauspicious Shraadh period, a 12-day window when many Indians avoid major purchases like property transactions.


However, despite the September dip, the Pune real estate market continues to exhibit positive signs for the year so far. When compared to the first nine months of 2023, the period ending September 2024 saw a significant 29 per cent rise in property registrations, reaching 1,38,412 units.
