HAL Airport Redevelopment
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has approved a comprehensive master plan to revamp Bengaluru's Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) Airport. This redevelopment aims to transform the facility, which served as the city’s primary airport until 2008, into a major air traffic hub once again. Currently, HAL Airport handles 12 small aircraft daily, including those for defence, VIPs, and private entities, and features a single runway with 30 parking spots.
Key Features of the Revamp Plan
