The Indian government is evaluating a proposal to construct a seven to eight km twin-tube tunnel through Kela Pass, a critical infrastructure project aimed at improving connectivity between Leh and Pangong Lake. This initiative was put forward by the Union Territory administration of Ladakh to ensure seamless movement for civilians and military personnel.
